This number tex me from the Manchester area, insisting that i had anHalifax account i opened wanting details. I don't even have an account with the Halifax. ITS FRAUD DO NOT ANSWER IT.
SCAM - Call recording claimed there was an issue with my National Insurance Number being used suspiciously and to help secure my details I should press 1 on the phone to get put through to some one. I hung up immediately and blocked the number.
Text, claiming to be from Santander and not to use my CC and to phone this number. This is a scam.

Called me this morning,do not who was.
This number keeps on ringing me. The first time I got a call from this number I had my phone on silent as I was at work. When I tried to ring them back it says that it is not a valid number. I have not answered this number since I have no idea who they are and why I cannot call them back. Seems very suspicious to me. If you get one I would advise you do not answer.

PPI claims management company. take it from me, go straight to your bank if you think you had PPI, they won t steal a 3rd of the money like these PPI companies will.
SImilar number to other scam calls had recently where they say they are an energy company-capitlising on the recent news. Said he was an energy something in my area. Yeah right. Like Bournemouth is my area. Guy didnt even stutter when I answered the call as Sperm Bank. Said no thanks and hung up immediately. Blocked the number.
Update: Calling back gives "number unrecognised", so certainly a scam.

Yet another PPI call
Claimed I had had an accident in the last 2 years-I haven t.Second call in 2 days.Accident claim outfit using Nationwide Building Society s name to add authenticity.
Who tried to call me? Number unknown.
Same as above - "I am calling about your accident" ... "Which accident?" ... "Have you ever been involved in an accident?"
Automated call from “my internet service provider” stating that illegal activity has been detected on my account and my service would be disconnected within 24-48 hours….Then gave me a load of options…press 1, press 2…etc presumably to get me to speak to someone so that they could access money in some form or other. An automated message comes up saying the call is from HM Revenue & Customs, gives you a case file number, and says if you ignore the call, you will face legal applications. Then asks you to press 1 to speak to an adviser. The advisor distantly says she is calling from the HMRC and asks for your name. When I asked her where are you calling from again, she hung up.
