Call from supposed local exchange and when answerphone cut in automated message informed me money had been taken from my card and to press 1 to contact them. Obvious scam as have had identical message from various numbers over the past year.

Scam!!! Indian woman saying she was from amazon accounts and someone has opened and charged £799 to an account in my name. When I said I don't have an amazon account she said it might be a bank account that they are trying to charge, when I asked who she was actually trying to speak to she didn't even know my name.???? poor attempt and poor English.

This is a scam call. Pertaining to be from HMRC and stating legal action to be taken or chose an option.

It's the tedious call back scam where naive people (marks) call back thinking that it's a local/national number when, in fact, the return call is redirected to a premium rate number without the mark's knowledge. Works well with the drunk, those on drugs, the vulnerable and Boris voters.

I had a call this afternoon apparently from this number 08000234567, which I know is the number of the Financial Ombudsman's Office, when the caller said he was from the fraud dept of my bank. I had called the Financial Ombudsman earlier in the day on that number. It did not feel right and when I challenged the caller he put down the phone. Somebody may be able to pick up the numbers of those who have called the FOO? I will tell the FOO by email as their phone system takes too long to get through!

Received a call from this number.. recorded message of woman’s voice saying it was from Bank security.. That my bank had a request from Amazon for £200+ and bank transfer for £700+ and to cancel press a digit. This number came up as 2 sets of numbers, one was a long number, and another this one I am reporting below it(that is what alerted me) when ringing. However when I hung up and looked at the number, just the 01224 857793 is showing?. It’s a scam.SCAM

This number, an automated woman's voice, called my landline today and purported to be the bank saying that they're checking a £600 payment from my bank account to somewhere abroad. 07401878848 is a mobile phone number at an indian call centre, i traced it back through the network. Someone pretending to be from amazon stating that my details have been used to order some high value items and that to cancel it i would have to do as they instructed. They wanted remote access to my computer/tablet/phone so they could steal my data. The idiots didn't realise that they had phoned an it company. when i informed them of their mistake they hung up.

Guy with a foreign accent asking about diesel vehicles. Wanted my vehicle details even though we have no diesel vehicles. Very fishy.

The call was allegedly from Sure Cover to revise my life insurance cover, then they said I was eligible for a better price and they tried to pass me to another department but I hang the call at that point. I searched and I found an article confirming it's a scam.
