Unknown mystery caller

They called to say I had a minor accident in the last 2.5 years. When I asked what vehicle it was, they said they couldn t tell me because of data protection. I enjoy keeping them on the line while they waste their own time. Sometimes I tell them I m just getting the details and leave them hanging on. It stops them calling anyone else for a while until they get fed up.

When I phoned them they said the company was RED STAR asking if I had credit problems.

presumably a sales call as when I returned the cal the number was 'not recognized'

called at 19.49 why? Most people do business - 9-5.I didnt give him time to finish the bullshit and i was not happy[I had my angry voice on!]He put the phone down on me..hmm.Block this number ASAP

Someone called Emma Macintosh, told me I had an accident recently, I repeatedly asked her when but she just kept saying I had had an accident and would I like to tell her the details. So I hung up

I don t answer calls from unknown numbers, but look them up on the Internet. Having read other people s comments I m pleased I didn t answer. Thank you all for your comments. They really helped.

Con artists! I am signed up to TIPS and if this was a legitimate company they would be following the code of practice set up. They do not follow the law. they use a recorded voice, therefore they are criminals. Another number for the call blocker.

Call received on my mobile and it showed up as Potential Fraud. I did not answer it since I do not know of anyone in that area code. That was yesterday. Nothing further since………...

This is a marketing call from a 'Neways' rep. They sell very good products for home and health which are very safe to use, but they are expensive.

I am from the customer care team in emerging media.
