Saying he was from Virgin Media and wanted me to login from my computer to check the router. I just ended the call. He didn't even know my name, account number or anything. I just put the phone down. Could be dangerous!

annoying multiple times

This is a scam - they claim to be HMRC (although he pronounced it HRMC!) and are asking for student tax to be paid. I told them that I am 16 and not working and therefore not eligible for tax. He - an Indian sub continent accented person - insisted I have to pay it until I informed him that I actually work for HMRC and this is a scam. He admitted it was and rang off. NOTE: I don't work for HMRC and I am not 16. BEWARE!!!!

Called by this number on 5th may. I`m told my someone has tried to take two payments totaling thousands from my account. The man did`nt mention my name but said he`d transfere me to another department. If the transaction was wrong. He also did`d mention what card or bank was being threatened. Since I rarely have more than £50 in the bank , Itake it as a case of rotten cheese.

SCAM Claiming to be from Virgin Media. Recent similar calls tried to get us to download QuickSupport app - don't do it!!

Phone number keeps ringing me ...4 times Monday and once today so far. So annoying!

Called said they were from British telecommunications said I would not receive any more nuisance calls. Told her I wasn't a BT customer so remove my no. 5 minutes later get call recorded voice saying from BT telling me my phone/internet were going to be cut off shortly....press 1 for? 2 for? Then I hung up. Third call today

Just called me and I didn't answer. I have called back just to know what company it could be and a woman's just answered with a simple hello(usually companies they present them self first). I hung up. It may be a scam

Person called 'Chloe' said she was calling in relation to an accident I had had. I asked her where this accident allegedly took place and she said 'in Glasgow' and I asked when it had taken place and she said 'last month' and I said that this was a phishing call. 'No' she said 'This information had been passed on by the database of accidents' (or something like that). As this was clearly untrue as we have had no accidents in more than 2 decades, I asked her to update the database and remove my details. She

Another phone message tlling me if I didn't authorise a £900 payment from visa to press 1 and contact caller. Delete and report.

Heavy Indian accent. Very rude. Told me to stop talking and do what he said. Said no would ask my son. Insisting he was from windows technical dept and had a problem with my computer. Very insistent. Put phone down. Obv take no notice of tps!

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8438727xxx range... People did someone answer this number?

TAXES / HMRC

Very annoying male trying to speak to my wife about Government Grants for Boilers. Informed him that he was talking cr-p and terminated call. Would not give the name of his company. Now had several call from companies trying the same scam.
