Tells me I have been identified has having and industrial injury and wants to act on my behalf. I have never had such an injury. The caller uses a Merthyr Tydfil dialling code but on interrogation turns out to be a call centre in Liverpool. I explain I am a member of TPS and don t wont to be cold called. Same call the next day!.
I must have had ten calls this last week from a company calling themselves UK Preference. Today s number used was 01612228888. The voice was an Indian male and was very persistent talking over me when I told him to take me off their calling list and to stop calling me. On one day last week I had three calls from this same company within one hour. Most annoying. I had to put my phone down in the end because they would not listen to me. Telemarketing Asking about me moving premises and responsibilities for paying utilities at the new premises. Having many calls from numbers starting 01253. All say the same thing. I keep telling them my landlord is responsible and I have nothing to do with the utilities account and they say ok we will take you off the list, but I am received calls every 30 mins from similar numbers with a Blackpool area code. I bought a car from Bayliss Motors of Cheltenham and this was just a courtesy call. I didn't recognise the number so I checked it out before calling back. No problem.
I received a call from somebody claiming to be from SSE. He wanted to talk about a new contract. He didn’t specify whether it was gas or electricity. I asked him to send your new prices by email. He seemed upset by this very simple request stating that it was impossible. I told him to call back when he had sent the email. He rang from this number 2 days later and came out with the same nonsense. He said he was Roger. I hung up and complained to SSE.
