What they actually do is speak as if they are talking to someone else saying I can t hear anyone on the other end of the line, eventually put the phone down and wait for the person to call them back, obviously at their own cost. SCAM / SPAM - Answered the call and got a ringing tone as if I had made the call. Someone with Northern accent asked me about Life Insurance, but I think it was pre-recorded. I responded, but didn't get an answer. Then it occured to me that, due to the ringing tone, they might somehow have engineered a way for me to be paying for the call so I hung up and blocked the number.
