Called to advise unusual activity on my Santander Account. I will check tomorrow, could be a scam.

Caller identified himself as energy savings company in Great Yarmouth, and asked if I was home owner. I told him I d had a call from them a week ago and had said I wasn t interested in solar panels. He then tried to interest me in energy savings from govt scheme for new efficient boilers. Repeatedly offered me a free evaluation which I declined, then he hung up (politely) when he saw he wasn t persuading me.

SCAM Caller said they were from Amazon and that I would have a high payment charged monthly (£79.99) unless cancelled and the caller was going to "help me" cancel my Amazon Prime subscription. After some arguing (as she tried to get me to stay on the line), I hung up and checked Amazon website going through their online chatbot. Was told the caller was a surveyor and that he was checking about our loft insulation. He seemed to have had access to the time we had it done and also our address. He asked when it was done and was it part of the Government scheme as there was a problem with fibreglass. The line then went dead, but the call was still active as I could see the raised phone sign on my handset Very strange and also very worrying! Didn t give any further info info and hung up as soon as I realised.
