Apparently I am being prosecuted for tax evasion and as I did not press option 1, I will be going to jail. Recorded message.

This is a computer generated voice (sounds like Mel B from the Spice Girls) and operated by someone typing the answers……why is Russia calling????? Can only be for one purpose to exploit a scam and fraud…….do not engage ….hang up tell them to get a life and new job…..happy hunting comrade…????

Caller claimed to be from BT technical services. She told me that there were a number of people using my internet connection and there numerous errors. I asked her for the error numbers and how did they know and my husband was to blame for using naughty sites - she rang off, saying that I could chose to believe or not.

They claimed to be from my bank (VM money was Yorkshre Bank) to ask me about potential fraud on my card. (£52 on Argos in Aberdeen) I was supicious when they got agressive when I didn't know my banking paswword and I said I would have to call them back. I called the fraud number I have in my phone (0800 121 4251) and they confirmed it wasn't them that called me before. The chap on the actual fraud line also said that the real bank won't ask for any part of or all your internet banking password EVER!

Researching this number I suspect it to be scammers who purport to work for Insulate Scotland. They claim to require access to your loft to inspect the air quality and insulation. Already on my blocked list after calling me a few times. SCAM

Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. SCAM. Allegedly from HER Majesty's Revenue and Customs. 1st clue - HER Majesty has been dead for 10 months. 2nd clue The recorded message was made with an American accent. Doubt very much that HRMC have sub-contracted this to the Americans (yet).
