Caller said I was subject to a tax investigation but without even confirming who I was so I think it is a scam number and I cannot ring back and it says the call was from in the middle of Trafalgar Square!

Pain in the arse company I get lots of calls from them lots of the time they just ring a few rings then hang up ,when I get to answer they hang up
Despite being registered with the TPS getting repeated calls from this number, finally pressed option 2 to try and speak to then to get the number removed was promptly laughed at and hung up on when I asked then to stop calling! Absolutely furious !!!!

Automated call This is a genuine household phone line which has been spoofed by scammers. They are trying to rectify this with the phone line provider. So please block the call and stop calling back an innocent family with abuse
I called the extra energy customer services number to confirm this and it was, indeed, extra energy who called.
It's either a charity marketing for more donations or an IT training company looking for people to buy courses. Neither bad but can be annoying
No message left and called for a few seconds. Blocked the call based on feedback above.

Claimed to be from HMRC about my National Insurance number and to say that my number has been involved in fraudulent activity and that they we're suspending my NI number and to press 1 to speak with an officer. I will report this to HMRC and the police action fraud website. If you get any telephone calls or text messages (including messages to say you are owed a tax refund) or ask for personal information they are scams. Unknown caller looked it up to discover Chinese writing! So definitely not legit!
Fraud SCAM The caller claimed to be from mobile phone promotion department offering a discount. I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive. This call has been reported to the UK National Cyber Security Centre.
