Fraud or SCAM - They pretended to be from Virgin Media and asked me to start the computer, click on the windows icon+r to open the run command. Then asked me to run assoc. They refused to send me an email or text right away so that i could verify their identity,
Just had a call from this number asking for a person who has not lived here for a long time and by her maiden name not her married name. This number is NOT Paypal because I rang Paypal and asked them if this number was one of theirs. Paypal confirmed it was NOT one of their numbers. So beware it is a SCAM. I contacted the person this number was trying to get hold of and the strange thing is they had just got a call from this number as well.
Unknown - but I think my details were sold on before GDPR and if they ring again (when I ring back there is no answer) and I can identify them I will remind them of the huge fines they face under GDPR as I have made this area my specialism at work.
