He said it was a courtesy call checking the details were correct, which made me very wary as SSE/SWALEC usually write if there is a query. He wanted my full name and date of birth. At that point I told him that I would never give that information over the phone and that I was going to finish my tea. I put the phone down on him. Makes me wonder where they get the information from.

Yep Capquest (Arrow finance/pentagon finance/universal credit). This was an old debt from over 15yrs ago which was settle as a CCJ! No idea how they got my current mobile number (i m registered to stop these calls). Keep blocking them but they just use a different number. Not helpful if you do speak to them telling them debt was a settled CCJ either.
