I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. After hanging up at this point, the caller appeared to stay on the line for a couple of minutes to catch me making an outgoing call to my bank. Verified this by calling my landline from a mobile which rang engaged, a short time later I tested my landline again and it was clear.

Constantly phoning my mobile up to 4 times per day for the past week, stating i am entitled to claim PPI on finance i have had in the last 12 years, when i said i have never had any finance, he said well 12 to 20 years then, and i said i don t think you have any idea what age i am !!! However i continued to ask them to stop calling me and all he did was continually speak over me and i hung up the phone and just before i did i said i was going to be contacting the police.
