A man called who said he was Vodafone and then EE and offered me an outrageous deal of essentially free minutes, free data and free texts for £6 per month. I checked the vodafone website and the closest deal was £33. I suspect that this is a scam and will report.

Did not speak when I picked up. Static on the line from this call. When I said hello, did not answer. Might be a bot trying to see if a human voice is answering, to put them on a spam list.
TAXES / HMRC I just had an automated call from this number where the voice tried to scare you that you are investigated on tax and you will be arrested shortly if you don't speak with the HMRC officer (which they offered to connect with after pressing one).

SCAM - When you answer the call you get an automated message stating that you National Insurance information has been compromised, the messages asks you to select a number on the keypad to speak to the Legal Dept. to ensure legal action is not taken due to fraud. Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them.

I have had several missed calls so when I answered a guy with a northern accent asked for myself (although had my maiden name and I have been married for 6years!) then he said he was calling regarding my insurance up for renewal and asked if that was correct... there was something very dodgy about this guy though as he kept repeating himself and was also laughing!!! I just apologised and said I was at work and cut him off. I have since blocked the number!
