I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. Had this call 11.30 today. Well spoken young man says " I hope i ve got the right number, can i speak to Mr (My Surname)". . .i ask which one as there are three Mr (My Surname) at this address. He then shouts something garbled down the phone and hangs up! 07712657744 is now well and truly BLOCKED!!

When I answered the call the guy said Hi this is UK Advice Centre, how are you? I asked what the call was regarding and the line was disconnected. Obviously looking for a less inquisitive person!

This number called me today, said she was calling from the Nationwide Building Society. The female Indian caller knew my name, told me my postcode and asked me to confirm if it was correct. I told her I don t have an account with Nationwide and that she s a scammer after my personal details.... then hung up on her haha!
