I got called by this number at 18:07. The line was silent and when I hung up it called again. A quick search suggested it was Barclays Bank. An odd time of day for a bank to call! I contacted Barclays via their app for a live text chat. The operator assured me it was a Barclays number and not a scam. Another scamy company from manchester. Usually calls asking for Emily or Emily smith (had other calls from other northern based numbers asking for the same person . They are all phising for info via PPI, survey, selling newspaper subscriptions, new fuel contracts or telephone contracts. All scams!

Get constant calls from various numbers asking for "the business owner", unfortunately our number was used by a business about 10 years ago and occasionally appears in searches however that business closed down so they are obviously using old lists, but despite repeated attempts to get them to stop calling us and telling them there is no business at this address and they are ignoring our requests. Always an Asian, usually male, voice.
