They called me saying they could handle my ppi claim (I don t have one). They spoke in an Indian accent and when I questioned who exactly they were and who I was speaking to they hung up. Some sort if blatant scam.

The sort of phone I am using, how long the contract is,...etc., I got suspicion because EE should have all those details without having to ask me especially as I am still in contract with them. Called me claiming to be from Sky, informing me that malicious individuals are trying to hack my router. I played dumb and allowed them to get to the part where they wanted me to install TeamViewer to gain access to my computer. I gave them an earful about preying on vulnerable people, but it will have had zero effect; I just hope I cost them more money in call charges than they were expecting.
Fraud - male caller claimed to be from credit card company MBNA. He claimed that there were unsual transaction on my credit card this morning. He hung up immediately when I said that I had cancelled the card.

I had an accident year before last and was insured with Aviva. The called said they were from Aviva and knew this my car and name and Excess. Said claim now reached stage of getting compensation for my time off work and they could get me compensation in the next few weeks now the car damage and liability had all now been agreed. I only realised something wasn't quite right, when they didn't know the date of the accident. Required a card payment of the excess to release payment.

Called to say that they had been informed that I had been involved in a car accident - I haven t. Told them that they were lying and she said that they would delete me from their database. She sounded so bored it was amusing! Let s see what happens
Had a feeling this was ADT, haven t confirmed it but the comments seem to strongly indicate ADT. On top of the 0161 code. Just rang now at 3.19 in the morning, about five to six rings before I d even got to it, and then stopped. Alarm not going off, and it is for our house so would like to know why they rang in the wee hours when we re sleeping.

P I B 1 CONTRACTOR LTD - charged 88yr old vulnerable male in Kent, £1,468.80 for emergency call out to gain entry as lock out of home and has been reported to Trading Standards. After two local locksmiths quoted £250-300 for work done inc. emergency call out fee. Please report them to trading standards as did not pressure to do work but exploited his desperateness to get back home.
