I have an ex directory number that only family members have so am pretty sure where these scum got my number from as I rang an indian take-away the night before the 1st call started so looks to me the number has been sold on to them, now also getting calls from Sydney. Started by asking for my wife. Told her she wasn't in. Then confirmed my name, said he was offering a call blocker for unrecognised calls for free. Mentioned that I paid for my phone bill by direct debit (who doesn't?) and then listed a load of banks, none of them mine. When I laughed he got annoyed and asked why. When I told him I didnt have any banks of that name, did he just want my sort code and account number, he was talking over me and telling me to listen!!! Cut him off. Be warned.

FRAUD. Robocall claiming it is Social Security Administration and that your social security number has been suspended due to fraudulent activity, that all benefits will be cut off. If you press '1' to get to one of the agents it is always an indian. I always press 1 to read them the riot act concerning fraud and robocallers contacting those on national do not call registry.
Some Fri 4 and 5pm calls unanswered. Return the call now and the line has canadian ish voice saying line is deactivated...but on the bill its 27 pence each time! Telecom should investigate its apparent support of criminal activity. Obviously money extortion racket. Criminal scum

Indian man rang me at about 10:30am 26/7/2021 saying that they'd just been upgrading my Broadband and noticed spam being sent to me and hacker activity. Wanted me to turn on my computer. I put the phone down. Have fallen for one of these scams before with someone getting me to download AnyDesk in order for the caller to remotely take over control of my laptop. BEWARE!!

SCAM Terrible line quality, man with strong Indian accent immediately started the call by telling me he could get me an iPhone 12 for £30 per month. I told him I wasn't interested in whatever scam he was peddling. He then claimed I could trust him because he worked for Carphone Warehouse. I asked him for his email address and if he worked at the head office in North Acton, to which he said yes but he couldn't give out his email address over the phone.
