very dodgy! I have had several missed calls so when I answered a guy with a northern accent asked for myself (although had my maiden name and I have been married for 6years!) then he said he was calling regarding my insurance up for renewal and asked if that was correct... there was something very dodgy about this guy though as he kept repeating himself and was also laughing!!! I just apologised and said I was at work and cut him off. I have since blocked the number!

Answered the call to an Indian woman claiming to be from carphone warehouse. Smelt fake $h1t from miles away. Ive never had dealings with them so challenged her. SCAM On answering got a pre-record of serious sounding older man stating there was an issue with my national insurance number and fraudulent activity and to press 1 for help (likely to a premium rate number) and to then sure to go and ask me to share my personal details. Definitely a scam.

I have just been called by this number who immediately wanted to take me through security! All sounded very legit but just something in the back of my mind made me think that anyone could call up and start asking for my date of birth etc etc and why would I give that info to a complete stranger!!! I told them they needed to write to me instead (he said they already had - ha, ha) and then put the phone down. Looked up this number and guess what - loads of people who have had calls from the same number!
