Incoming call at 14:19 18:05:17 as a BT text message It s a poor recorded message, the caller voice is female it states that the call is from the HMRC and advised that you should contact your solicitor or legal advisor and then goes on to threatens legal action if you fail to call back advising not ignore this call. I called back the number after obtaining it from 1471 caller service the caller’s number was 0116-304-0838 which I called back and challenged the validity of the caller who stated he was from

I answered the phone, silence, then a recorded message said they were RMG and they could not connect me to one of their advisers at the moment, If I wish to call them back then they would connect me to an adviser. Obviously a "sales call" trying to get me to part with my money. Conclusion: Illegal activity.

SCAM. Insurance claim related scam. Claiming to be on behalf of Aviva. Rang from a similar number that I had blocked previously. Rang on Christmas Day on a special number that I have that noone knows about outside a small circle of family members (hence my answering thinking it was a Scottish family member - Glasgow number), so they must be getting number to call from EE direct as they asked for me by name. Called saying I had registered with their investment site (I hadn t). Then started talking about extra income. Sounded like he was calling from fast restaurant. Hung up.
Scam call asking for details of my lawyer, for tax default. Claimed to have written to me and wanted details from me. I didn t give them any of my details, they said because I wouldn t give them my information the police would be round my house in a couple of hours to arrest me. Person on the phone did not speak very good English as was definitely not from the HMRC.
