This number calls me almost every day. I don t know them, I never answer and they never leave a message. Who are they?
cold call selling life insurance - pleasant enough exchange to start but when I told the Indian woman that I do not purchase from cold calls she became aggressive and shouting before eventually hanging up on me. Rude caller saying they were from Carphone Warehouse and wanted to give me a deal for the new iPhone.
A very friendly guy called me saying he was from Greenpeace after I had signed a Greenpeace petition. He sounded very informative and believable and after a friendly chat he asked me to donate a small amount to Greenpaece. I said I would, and then he started asking me for my bank details so that he could set up a monthly direct debit for me to donate £10 per month. I said I woulld not give details over the phone but he still insisted that I could. I stopped at that point & put down the phone.

Regularly calling back with apparant "offers" wanting you to donate to charities or sign up to some kind of scheme. Whether it s legit or not i don t know but they can call up to 5 times a day.

TAXES / HMRC Automated message. Had similar before. “This is HMRC. You are under investigation for tax fraud. Press 1 immediately to speak to your case officer. Failure to do so immediately will result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.....” I did not press 1, so cannot say what happens if one does.
