A Google search suggests that the number, if genuine, belongs to a company called Steel Plus 1, based in Romford, Essex.
Very aggressive and rude calls. Start off nice but then deteriorate if you do not give them the personal information they want.Selling insurance I think.. They are persistent and have been ringing on and off for several months, at least weekly but usually more frequent.

on 22 june the above number 0161 8735544 rang my son and said that an amount of ?1500.00 was waiting to be claimed fir whiplash for a accident he had in 2009 foulishly he gave them details including his mobile phone number and said they will ring him on monday 25th june to follow this up. SCAM, he said his name was Adam Scott from Microsoft telling me my computer was at risk, giving me specific codes for my computer and saying I needed to turn it on.... My laptop takes 20 mins to start up and when I said this to him he said don't worry it won't take long... I think the longer your on call with these guys the worse it can get

Young guy called my mums home number (she s in her 70 s) and said that she had over paid money in to her bank and they needed to refund it and started asking for date of birth so she hung up. Be very careful with company! Avoid speaking to them!!!!
