Why doesn t anyone do something about these calls? They really do annoy a lot of people and I am sure someone somewhere can stop these scammers. Why should we allow this to happen with the technology we have today? They are out to commit fraud and they should be stopped. So let us all get together and do something and just go along with whatever they ask but give them a lot of lies. JUst give them a false name and keep them on the line for as long as you can. If you go to his phone at this number, you only hear rustling. They do not even want to talk to one. If you do not rangeht, then call the on the mobile phone. This is a real nuisance.

An automated voice informed me that HMRC are filing a lawsuit against me. Press one to talk to your case officer. Obviously a scam but it will scare the pants off some people. You may rightly assume I m thinking stronger words than I can write here.

Addressed me by full name also. Local country code and evening call, but sounded like a big call centre in background. Asked about industrial hearing injuries.

The caller had old personal details for me (more than a year old), and was trying to find out if I d been missold insurance with a loan or credit card in the past. They have called several times.
