Caller was trying to make me transfer money to his company.. obviously fake. Good ol Nigerian lies.. i was called by +441582-500140. It s a known strategy to make people transfer money, with the promise that they will get even more money back.

Keep calling same number getting about 6 a day and getting bloody annoying. Already told them ive got things in bloody place!!

Silent call

Called me several times, insisting I had opted in. I used their website contact form to complain and to my surprise got a reply offering to tell me where they got my details, BUT for a fee of 10.00! They also said my numbers had been removed but they ve just called my mobile... They are now blocked. TPS/OFCOM/ICO are useless so long as these people can claim you have opted in. There needs to be a mechanism for checking and revoking opt-ins. Or better still make the default on all websites opt-OUT,

A young woman informed me that i had been involved in a car accident and was this correct? I informed her i had not been in a car accident and that i was registered with the Telephone Preference Service and asked her to take my details off any Call lists and i bid her goodbye and promptly put the phone down.

I was called today by this company and found out who they were (on here). I promptly phoned their 0845 number and requested that they remove me from their database. I explained that I had caller preference and threatened to report them to Ofcom. The interesting thing is that they asked me if I knew a certain person (who they mentioned by name). This person was clearly the person they were chasing for the debt but I had never heard of her. They state on their website that they are they work ethically, honest

when answered they used my name, but I asked what the call was about and they hung up. I rang them and asked what they wanted and was told that it was nothing to do with them.

They have called me every day for a week. I am not in UK so I am not inclined to answer call.

Left long message on answering mach. Serious law suit against me unless I rang. Robotic voice, Americanized pronunciation & legal phrases. Did not specify name of myself or partner. Again Jennifer Coleman from HMRC. They would write to named person, cause of action letter, would never leave message as don t know who would pick up. Could scare people into ringing them back. I jsut had a call from a sweet man give me this whole spiel about Great Ormand Street Hospital. I know great hospital etc. In the end I didnt donate because i am not in the position to financially, otherwise he nearly had me there. Other threads on the net suggest that this was a hoax. I am not sure. People be aware..but don t forget to care!

They got as far as saying something about energy saving and i left them to it. Heard it all before.......rather boring!

Pretending to be "national accident database." Ambulance chasers. Put phone down..They may know your name even if ex directory. Makes you think where the leak is!

This number called with a supposedly robotic caller and when I said hello the robot said was it correct that I had a car accident that wasn t my fault. I didn t speak and then a real person came on. I still didn t speak and they eventually hung up.

Or even a cold caller? Almost certainly a scam. These calls use spoofed numbers but originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Ignore it or block ...

Rang my mobile briefly and then stopped. No message left. Probably trying to get me to call them back. I ve had a lot of this type of call lately and they re always from telemarketers or accident claims hawkers, so draw your own conclusions about this one.
