Answered call, heard nothing for several seconds despite saying hello? a few times. Then a very brief fax like noise before cutting off.

This individual chose to ring my house number asking for a club. The number was a business number previously but we haven t had nuisance calls on this scale before. Oriental sounding woman called who had my full name, telling me that the UK pension rules had changed and that the call was from the Government to advise me on those changes. Asked about what kind of pensions I had. At that point I politely ended the call. seemed to be a fact finding call about me for nefarious reasons. If I want pension advice I can speak to a qualified advisor or look at a website. Sounded as if the call was scripted as she couldn t / wouldn t answer my questions.

So is the code 01603 or 01604? Either way, the number is too long to be valid in the UK.
