Ive had about 5 calls from this number and nobody speaks at the other end and they put the phone down very quickly. I have blocked it now but its a pain
Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. The person on the other first said a Hello. The voice was very deep. And then the HMRC taped message started running. So I just put it down. Must be a fake/scam as the number is supposed to be somewhere in Khazakstan.

This number connects to a company claiming to be HMRC but you cannot call this number it will call u and connect. They will say you have outstanding tax due and try and get a payment from you over the phone.. they will even send emails with fake letters from the revenue to back there case. These are scammers.....

Flagged as scam on Samsung so did not pick up. Have a business phone so would not expect personal life insurance call. Honestly, GDPR was a waste of time, penalising honest businesses but scammers and thiefs are safe? Just don't pick up a number you don't know, why would your Insurance call you? They never do.

Scottish Scammers. They use various names, usually "Green Deal Financing", usually talking about double glazing. They won t give out any identifying information and will hang up if questioned. I now keep a VERY loud dog whistle by my phone, whenever they call they are getting an ear full.

A robot saying there was a warrant for my arrest due to my "tax evasion". The robot informed me I would be arrested if I did not press one. Pressed one as a joke to see what would happen - they put me in hold and then a man answered.
