Alleged call from HMRC with automated male voice telling me to press 1 to avoid being arrested for fraud. Absolutely sure it is some new scam attempt to get money from scared people - it sounded quite threatening!

Fraud SCAM Called me pretending to be from Amazon saying that someone had ordered an iPhone on my account. They then managed to trigger the Amazon reset password text message and pressured me to give me that code to them, presumably so that they could take control of my Amazon account. Some Fri 4 and 5pm calls unanswered. Return the call now and the line has canadian ish voice saying line is deactivated...but on the bill its 27 pence each time! Telecom should investigate its apparent support of criminal activity. Obviously money extortion racket. Criminal scum
