I'm first - how exciting! Amazon prime scam call, quite short, automated voice. Claimed AP would be auto-renewed, and to press something to opt out or speak to someone... Getting bored of these, this is the third Friday in a row, although the last two were BT scam calls, which I was able to report to BT. More annoying really, but potentially dangerous I suppose...

This call was a follow-up call from the Met Police after I reported a theft via their 101 non-emergency number. They repeated to me details from my 101 call, so I have no doubt it was the police. I imagine its unknown etc as it comes through their switchboard, I get the same when the wife rings me from work phone.

Fraud 01415737911 - asking me a lot of questions (including bank details) trying to get voice recognition and data. The info they had was wrong and I fed them a bunch of bs. When I asked for my data to be deleted, they hung up.

it is from Russia, saying that I had been fraudulently using my national insurance number, it is the international crim unit, and if I don't press one to speak to an operator my NI number will be suspended and I will be arrested. I didn't press one, I just hung up. Hope the KGB don't turn up on my doorstep!

Why doesn t anyone do something about these calls? They really do annoy a lot of people and I am sure someone somewhere can stop these scammers. Why should we allow this to happen with the technology we have today? They are out to commit fraud and they should be stopped. Fraud, The number sent a text message saying a voice mail is received and call back to listen. However, this kind of voice mail notification should be sent by EE but not he number itself. Called back but hung up immediately the moment I realised this. Definitely some scam or fishing.
So I just registered with TPS and literally within seconds this number was calling me! Actually pretty annoyed that they must have access to TPS database or someone know that I have just registered! Pointless. Can t complain on TPS until I have been registered for 28 days - is that a scam too???
