This is a genuine number from the Coop Bank Anti-Fraud department. Was sceptical when I got a text from them so I rang the bank’s number that I know is correct and it was all true. Over £200 had been taken from my card but £82 has been returned and the balance of it has been stopped. Excellent service from the Coop.

See previous comment. These Jingly bar stewards just call a slightly different number making the BT call blocker a complete and utter waste of timer. BT are just a bunch of fraudsters as well and will do nothing to prevent these nuisance calls as are the Government and Offcom. Another valid point is that when someone states on their merchandise "STOPS UP TO 99% OF NUSIANCE CALLS" I would suggest that 1% is up to 99% and they should be prosecuted under the Trades Description Act.

This must be some call centre, 2 similar numbers called me during my work time - not able to answer it, called one of them back and - number doesn't exist, so very likely one-way gateway of some call centre for outgoing calls only. Beware.

Message refers caller to www.aql.com/aql.text That page no longer exists on website. The main website gives the contact telephone number 01133 203040, while the information or lack thereof, on Companies House website is interesting. Definitely suspicious, probably fraudulent. Be extremely cautious. SMS messaging to landlines is a relatively new feature and used, for example, by some telephone engineers to confirm appointments/arrival time. Their employers no longer permit voice calls!
