SCAM Initially silent, then asked me if it's me on the phone (he knew my name) and then said he's calling from a loan company. When I started asking questions, he hang up.

Got a telephone call this evening from this number. They didn t give a name of company, but said that they were calling in relation to the recently announced scrappage scheme and were calling everyone in my neighbourhood in order to allocate a fund of ?650,000 accordingly to assist homeowners to make energy efficient improvements to their home. This person identifies himself as Thomas from Adobe and has called us over and over to the point of harassment. He has been told that we wont put his call through to the person he wants to speak to as they don’t want his call. He tries to intimidate his way through, then sits mimicking me down the phone line and finally he leaves the line connected so nobody else can call us. The number even though a local number (0203 655 7035) has connections to India and the guy speaking has an Indian accent.

Clean Green - claim there is an energy survey going on in my road (named it and knew my house number and my name) - I said there is nothing going on in my road. Claimed it was about a change in building regulation sand checking heat loss. I said that is absolute rubbish - she claimed it was not. I suggested she gets a proper job and hung up.

Initially made out they were calling on behalf of Vodafone about an early upgrade on my phone but when I asked again if they were Vodafone and I was told they were Future Comms who work alongside Vodafone and the other major networks. I told them no thanks, and ended the call. (Now blocked.) She was very polite though and not pushy.

I now don t answer calls without it going to answer phone just to see who is calling first. I have traced number and it comes up with this company. They don t leave messages.

SCAM. It could be that the caller ID is being spoofed as also showed 02036126009 at exactly the same time. This may well actually well be from overseas as was an Indian sounding woman with a lot of background call centre noise. And after lots of 'hello's', they eventually mentioned they were calling about BT-Openreach Internet - Which I don't have, so when I said I know this is a scam, they just hung-up!
Latest incarnation of persistent cold calling from this Belfast based company. This time they are trying to flog VMWare. As usual, MO involves 2-3 calls daily with no chance of removal from their lists - they say the will but never do.
