Fraud - spoofed telephone number almost certainly from Indian call centre of fraudsters. Asking if you want your Amazon Prime subscription cancelled otherwise £79 will be debited from your account. You are instructed to go to your computer and press [Windows + R] key and type "anydesk" and press enter. Then you are to search Google for "anydesk". This number sent me a text on 03/07/2021. It was all about religion and Jesus. Had bad grammar and spelling also words ran into one another. I think trying to pray on people being lonely during lockdown. Creepy, ignore it.

I have BT guardian which asks callers to announce who they are before I answer. Most sales calls hang up at that point, this one didn't. Lovely lady explained that I could have a half hour appointment to check energy efficiency of my home and advise of any improvements. I made the appointment. Very polite young man called Adam arrived, checked the loft and roof, looked around, discussed my energy payment per month. The information given was useful, nothing to sign, no sales pitch. I would have no worries.

Tried a free app called call zapper today! I m sure there s loads similar ones available too! Answer silently (you have to be somewhere quiet!) then press home button and really quickly open the app then hit the FAX button and it plays the fax tone down the line to them! Let s see if it results in my number being deleted from their database! Give it a try and post up here how you get on!! PS It s not my app or anything (!) just sharing something I hope will work! JL
