Probably building to a scam, claimed to be BT a UK telephone provider investigating illegal activity on my internet, when I inquired as to who might be doing illegal things the caller suggested probably foreigners! The call was made at 7am in the morning to a private number, land line and one only known to family members.

Silent call The owners of this number need to learn how to use an autodialler properly. Twice today (so far) I've picked up phone to silence at the other end. Whatever they're selling, I'd be reluctant to buy from a company that makes silent calls because they can't set up an autodialler correctly. Recorded message received today stating that unauthorised payment of £500 taken from my debit card and sent abroad. Options given to press 1 if I knew about the transaction and to press 2 if I didn't. Ended the call without pressing any option. This njumber needs to be reported immediately and the number investigated.
