Clearly they operating some sort of scam. Once you begin to challenge them they shut down they will hang up and place you on hold and refuse to give any credible information which would allow you to then report the issue appropriately to get them shutdown.

Call to my landline 19:04hrs. I answered and didn t speak (my usual gig on mobiles too, when called by an unknown or unrecognised number); a man s voice said "hello, hello, hello..." then "la la la la" then hung up. Poor thing, must be driven mental by people who answer but don t engage...about time the worm turned? This line is new, ex-directory and only my Dad & Stepmum have this number. I think they must use a computer system dialler that just goes through and dials potential/ actual live numbers? Whatev

I picked up...said hello three times...no answer...blocked call...end off!!!

After seeing this number repeatedly on my call blocker log over many days I called the number myself as it costs me nothing. I was disgusted to hear a BT recorded message saying that it was from one of their partners and that I MIGHT be able to get removed from the list by calling an 0800 number. About time the regulator came down on the telco providers as hard as they say they are on other nuisance callers!.
