Its a sales call from some electric and gas company.

Weil es noch Probleme mit der alten SIM-Karte gibt und diese nicht vom neuen Handy gelesen werden kann. Die Person, angeblich mein Sohn, bittet um eine Geldüberweisung, weil er eine Zahlung verpasst hat. Das Geld (1989,09 ohne Währung) sollte ich am nächsten Tag zurückbekommen. Ein Fake!!!

They were going to get my grants and everything but they are not communicating by email which is strange. When I ask them to send me an email they don’t send any email. Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.

SCAM Woman with strong foreign accent claimed to be from 'BT technical department' (immediately obvious not genuine) and said they had received notifications that my internet was being used by others fraudulently. Pointed out BT not my provider which she ignored, she then tried to guess some letters from my email to 'send me a verification' and when I said that wasn't my email, accused me of lying!!!! Presumably hoping I'd supply my actual email.
