Purporting to sell iPhones and mobile connectivity. Call repeatedly from numbers beginning 020 3986 **** I block them every time, but every few days they call again from a different number on the same exchange.

This number calls me constantly, day night, weekends and all. Have no idea who they are but the number indictaes that they are trying to sell me something or get me to sign up to something. I never answer and they never leave a message. When the number comes up I just hit the reject button. They ll soon get the message.
Called my mobile 15:59hs 24 June 2020: automatic recorded voice announced (sic) "Her Majesty Revenue and Customs" which instantly caused me to terminate. this is VERY clearly a scam call as HMRC would NOT use the incorrect term for their own department!

Voice at other end said he was calling about a problem with my "Virgin Media broadband". I don't have Virgin Media broadband to told him to piss off! Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.
