SCAM called to discuss damp problems reported in my property, I don’t have damp issues and have never reported any problems. I own my own property so knew immediately that this was a scam, talked to them long enough to get the gist of what they were trying to do before hanging up.
Checked my name then started rambling and hung up. Sounds like getting paid to verify name and number details.
Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1617685xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, life insurance - insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the a
