An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.

Bank fake transaction scam - tries to get you to "speak our support team"

Like other reviews I received text message at 4.28am (very strange), supposedly from Apple stating: "We've noticed a transaction that seems unusual , therefore we've had to place a hold on your wallet features. Kindly visit EnableYourIDUser.com to see more information on how to continue using your apple wallet." Apple would not be contacting me in the middle of the night (UK time) and certainly not on a UK mobile number. Just delete it straight away. Does not surprise me at all this is Russian l

Text received from this number advising that I had had a missed delivery from Royal Mail. The website to click for re-delivery was incorrect to the one used by Royal mail and had RoyalMail.Re-delivery.com and not Royalmail.re-schedule.com. Tried ringing it and it stated it was a Giff Gaff mobile, however, 07510 numbers belong to O2.

SCAM - offered 40% discount on my next bill, when I asked who they were they said it was for my phone bill. I asked if it was Vodafone and she said yes, then asked how much I was paying for my phone bill and what kind of device I had - all information she should have been able to gather from my account. Recorded message reporting unusual activity on my credit card. One transaction from Amazon and a foreign transaction for 999 pounds. Press 1 to authorise payment or 2 to speak to an advisor Strongly suspect this is a scam. As it was a local number I tried to call it back later and got unobtainable signal. Beware.

SCAM Said from Vodafone upgrade team and could offer me a great deal on a upgrade. Asked them to email me the details so I could check it over. Email looked dodgy, address wasn't a Vodafone one. Forwarded onto Vodafone and they said not a genuine email from them. Called me back again and got angry when I challenged them on what Vodafone said. Told me I'd get another email to prove they were genuine within 30mins, still waiting a few hours later. Four calls today alone, all from different numbers!
