Automated voice stating they where calling from HMRC and that there was a fraudulent case against me and if I did not press 1 immediately then a warrant would be issued and I would be arrested. Firstly HMRC will never call you and secondly I am still waiting for the police to show up at my door and arrest me for nothing. Utter nonsense. Don't be fooled by these calls people.

Persistant junk calls from Orange. Call several times per day but never leave a message. Answer the phone with hello & then leave them hanging when they ve started their spiel. That way you waste their time too.

SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. SCAM. Insurance claim related scam. Claiming to be on behalf of Aviva. Rang from a similar number that I had blocked previously. Rang on Christmas Day on a special number that I have that noone knows about outside a small circle of family members (hence my answering thinking it was a Scottish family member - Glasgow number), so they must be getting number to call from EE direct as they asked for me by name. Worrying.
Was rung by this number twice and put on hold for 7 minutes by an automated American voice and then hung up on.

I’ve experienced a very odd phone call this afternoon. Automated phone call as soon as I said “hello” the automated phone call started. “Your name has been used in a fraud claim, from the HMRC. Press 1 to speak to someone..” - I put the phone down. My phone didn’t let me ring or receive phone calls for around 3-4minutes after. The mobile phone number used 07719 494435

This number called just before 7.00pm saying I owed approx £86 for Amazon. When I redialled the number it said not recognised.
