Automatic call didn't leave a message on answer machine

Ignore 0843 numbers - lucky to see number before pickup. Mine was a morning call which I ignore as stated,

repeatedly calling but they hang up when you answer so no idea who they are or what they want but every day when I get home from work there is at least one missed call from them they even call evenings and weekends

Trying to go on about back end of my website and issues with google, had a spare few minutes, so kept them on the phone for 15 mins, told them all about my garage, my spider monkeys, (one got out while I was on the phone), explained how we trained them to drive cars by feeding them wine gums, all in all a fun conversation

I usually find if it stops ringing after 4 or 5 rings it s a cold caller.

The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. I am now receiving phone calls telling me I am entitled to a free upgrade and cheaper phone rate. I have told them several times now over five days that this is already sorted and I am now still receiving phone calls. these people rang me 4 times and on 4th, I told them not to call again and remove my number but they hung up . 45 minutes later they rang a 5th time, so I used language they may more understand. Do not answer !!!!!

Phoned them back after numours calls and tried to sell me my same contract then asked if they can call back. STUPID

Caller purported to be from BT and was about to close my Internet connection - I m not with BT so became suspicious. I put the phone down but similar calls have requested money to stop the internet being disconnected.
