Microsoft ringing me about my computer. A scam..... when I asked them to cut to the chase and describe to me what was the exact scam they were trying to drop on me, they rang off. Strange....LOL

SCAMMERS - PLEASE DONT FALL FOR IT! Had a call from this number claiming to be from “my bank” - they didn’t mention the name of the bank, I should have thought to ask as I don’t think he knew. Said he wanted to check that an online payment of £2500ish this morning was really made by me. Of course it wasn’t. He wanted me to get my bank card and check the phone number on the back (think the next step would have been to ‘put the phone down’ so I could dial my bank, yeah right). Fraud. Calling from abroad saying they are Citizens Advice Bureau. When I asked why they were calling on a mobile number they said they weren’t so I read the number back to them and they said that they have been passed information by the FCA that I have debts to repay. When I pointed out that this was false and they are clearly a scam they hung up. Called them back and got voicemail which is apparently full.
