Just been called by this number to inform me my emails are being used by someone in the usa and if I follow his instructions through my computer we can solve this together. Bloody nice chap! However I do know that once connected to your computer they can lock you out unless you make payments to them. SCAM me thinks. Someone called me to say that someone had bought a laptop using my name and address - I didn t give any details and they just told me to change my password but were not clear on what I should change - not that I would!
SCAM Fraud A computer voice informed me that HMRC was going to arrest me if I didn't press "1" to connect to them. Not sure what would have happened if I had followed the instructions, but this is a nasty fraud all the same.

SCAM / SPAM said they were from Visa Headquarters and that a payment of £600 had been made on my Barclaycard. I don’t have a Barclaycard and when I suggested this they hung up. It was an Indian man and the phone number is a Rugby code.

SCAM - claim to be working for o2 to offer a discount, they are obviously trying to SIM swap or login to account as they already have your mobile number they can get an o2 security text message sent to your phone. The text message is legitmate BUT you must not give them the code. It even says in the message never to share the code with anyone. They need the code to access your account. DON'T LET THEM!
