Melissa called twice saying that they needed to check the insulation in our loft because we had it done under the government scheme (we didn't) and now the regs had changed and it needs to be checked.When I told her that I'd done it myself about 35 years ago and wasn't going to have anything else done, she said she'd alter the information on the database. Sounded like a genuine company though unfortunately I didn't get their name so can't report them for a cold call as I would usually.

This number called at 2:40pm on Friday 23/04/21. On answering a very loud noise was heard, the noise continued for about 20 seconds before the call was ended.

Caller with English accent told me that my loft insulation was faulty and was causing condensation, but nothing to worry about. When asked he said he was from the UK Advisory Information Centre and they ran the Renewable Energy Database where my details had come from. When asked he said he was based in central London. I received 6 phone calls from this number all whilst I was on holiday in Canada. I didn t answer as I didn t know the number. No message left on any of the calls, no surprise there if this is a marketing call. I have man iPhone and I blocked the number after the 1st call because it showed on my phone that the number was 011 44 843 381 0443 and came via Conway, SC, United States. However I continued to receive the other 5 calls.

This number has rung my mobile twice in two days. I have not answered but after reading comments on this and other websites, I contacted O2 directly. They confirmed that it IS them and it IS telemarketing, and offered to block my number, which I accepted. He said he had passed my details to telemarketing to stop contacting me but it could take up to 28 working days for the calls to stop. So I will have to wait and see. I hope this helps.
