Rang at 6.30pm - I didn t recognise number so let ansafone take it - they didn t leave a message. I checked on this site to see who they were, so when the same number rang again at 7.20pm I answered (to wind them up!). A very polite sounding chap with an Indian (or similar) accent explained that he was carrying out a survey for ???????? I bought a car from Bayliss Motors of Cheltenham and this was just a courtesy call. I didn't recognise the number so I checked it out before calling back. No problem.

Genuine call from Halifax fraud prevention. They noticed someone in USA somehow used my card for a very small amount £4.24 (apparently they do this to see if it s accepted) They have cancelled my card and are sending a new one straight away. Excellent service from Halifax
