I phoned this number back and it said THIS NUMBER IS UNRECOGNIZED so now I know. When I answered this number previously it was an Asian man with bad English from a lifestyle company doing surveys. I ve been a victim of fraud in the past so never do over the phone surveys especially from an Asian man with bad English. Also be careful when you phone someone afterwards as they are always still on the phone line.

I played dumb and allowed them to get to the part where they wanted me to install TeamViewer to gain access to my computer. Scam, pretends they are phoning from Amazon but have a call-spoof that makes it look like it comes from a London number. Google search of the number reveals only a scam in India. Thick Indian accent claimed my Amazon Prime video account was being abused (I don't have Amazon Prime video). Without me giving them a single detail, I asked for the name on the account and he said John something and that proved that this was a scam. Amazon don't ring and give the name of the account holder when asked. SCAM, FRAUD.

This number called my 93-year old mother-in-law at about 07:45 hrs. She told them that she couldn’t hear them. They called her back a couple of times, and tried to get her to do something on her iPad. She said she’d have to get her son-in-law to call them as she didn’t understand them. They haven’t called again since. Incident reported to local police as a vulnerable person is being targeted. This number has now been reported to BT security who have blocked it nationwide.
I live in East Yorkshire. Tel. No. 01274 318449 called on my landline while I was out. I don't have an answer machine so haven't a clue who this is so cannot say anything negative about this number.
