TAXES / HMRC clearly fake call desined to con people. BLOCK

0207 9245544 - this number is a scam!!! Called me twice, I didn't answer as didn't recognize the number. I then googled the number and it's some motability Volkswagen thing in London. I called them four times trying to find out why they called me - they are rude and refuse to tell me why they called me!!! Instead, they demanded my name and then started the sales pitch! I never contacted them and I'm not in London so have nothing to do with them! This is clearly a scam!!!

SCAM This number appears to the associated with Bank Payment scams because I nearly fell for one, Had an automated message stating from my bank say that they had identified to large debits against my account which were suspicious. When I replied that they were not mine, I was put through to this number and was answered by a man who gave his name as a Paul Butler and stated that he was a member on the bank fraud investigation team. I got suspicious when he told be that this call was confidential.

But where my FB was this number was there .and I have put soft ware in . Missed call Called it back and got half a message '..is not in use' followed by the engaged tone. That's a pretty clear indicator that this number is not a trustworthy source. It is also coming from a geographical area that many spam or phishing calls have originated recently. ***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***
