We have been called from this number by somebody claiming to be from British Gas, about an outstanding invoice. As out invoices are regularly paid on time, this is a scam to try and get card details for payment.

Amanda from Safety Guide asking for one of our colleagues by his first name only. I asked what it was regarding & she claimed that he agreed in March to sponsor some books for local schools. I checked with the colleague in question & he confirmed that he hadn t agreed. I advised her of this & told her that when i googled her number it was linked to nuisance calls to businesses claiming to have supported books for local schools. She then said they were legitimate because they had facebook, twitter & LinkedIn

Got a call from this number, the person added me on skype asking to place an ad on gumtree for them. Very pushy and harassing, went through with it as far as I could just for fun. I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. Annoying and now on my blocked no s list. Tell you what...I finally rang this number - it goes on automatic response BUT select option 2 to remove your number. It had better remove it otherwise I ll select option 1 next time to speak to a representative and give him/her a piece of my mind!
