He then proceeded to try and get me to do the same on the phone BUT I preferred to do on the website for safety so declined. Did not answer (standard practice for these London numbers not in his directory ED.), no message left, came here, found I was not alone, so going to block. Just tried to block and it came up with "invalid number", so filed it to my directory as "Ignore".

I called this number and followed the exact same instructions that you would normally be asked only something didn't feel quite right about it. I called back the 03457 345 345 number which worked this this time and spoke to a gentleman on the Fraud team who advised me this was not one of their numbers and this was most definitely a fraud attempt.
