Called late Sunday evening. Our VOIP phone not currently working, but a blank message was left on my message service & got sent to my email, together with record of dialling number. No idea who s behind the call.

Calling to offer free service to stop my annoying cold calls. Genuine service, very nice lady.

I get at least one call a day from this number. I did answer on the first occasion and the line went dead. Since then I haven t picked up. This is becoming very disruptive and annoying.

Female caller with an Asian accent rang from this number twice today. Said she was from Benefits UK. I asked who Benefits UK is, and she replied "A company", and wanted to ask me some questions, which would only take a couple of minutes. I replied that I do not answer questions over the phone, and she hung up. A couple of hours later, the number rang again, and my daughter answered. She told the caller that our number is ex directory and that we are TPS registered. Again, the caller hung up.

I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The chap on the other end rambled on about insurance and said he was from a company called Red Star. When I asked who Red Star were he got quite abrupt/aggressive. So far in the past week I have had 13 calls from these people. Thankfully I have a CPR Call Blocker fitted on my phone line, so now I don t even hear the phone ring. They do seem to be very persistent though. Hopefully they will realise soon they aren t going to get anywhere with my number and give up.

I have no idea who this is, it s only because my latest phone bill has come in & this number has cost me ?1.63. I never dial 0871 numbers so this must ve been one that I answered & have been charged for! Since I have no business in India, this must be a scam call!!

I recieved a call from a company introducing themselves as Energy Helpline and stated that they were looking to help me out on my Home Phone and Broadband bills. They convinced me to switch to another provider and that I had to pay an amount upfront for an activation fee? Is this normal?
