Melissa called twice saying that they needed to check the insulation in our loft because we had it done under the government scheme (we didn't) and now the regs had changed and it needs to be checked.When I told her that I'd done it myself about 35 years ago and wasn't going to have anything else done, she said she'd alter the information on the database. Sounded like a genuine company though unfortunately I didn't get their name so can't report them for a cold call as I would usually.
Got a call at 3:45pm from this number today after looking there phone number up on google they are PPI Scammers and they are using different phone numbers including this phone number 01633473396 linked to the same scammers so please beware of these criminals. Was a S. African woman that called me, after I d flagged fraudulent charges on my card, when they d billed me over 30 quid a week after I d cancelled. Absolute SCAM, the company is registered as being dissolved since April 2018 with Companies House, she was aggressive and patronising in her manner, and kept asking if I knew what I was talking about, she only stopped when I told her that my bank was involved and they d found the company had no gambling license as well.

Called three days in a row. Asked for company director by name, who happened to be the person who d answered the call. Then asked if the company has any dept with HMRC and about cash flow. Director stated that cash flow was fine and politely ended the call. Felt untrustworthy. Possibly looking to offer loans etc.

SCAM The caller was a recorded message suggesting they were from a Londoon Magistrate and stated that if I choose to ignore this information then my National Insurance number will be blocked and stop working. After another threat they told me to press 1 to speak to the officer in charge of the case. At which point I hung up.

My husband passed the call to me as it related to my washing machine insurance renewal so I did not hear any name or how the call started. He did rather a hard (and fast) sell with a reduced annual figure but taking 3 years immediately. He seemed to have details of my current annual figure. I checked with D&G who deal with the insurance and they did not recognise the phone number as belonging to anyone working for them.
