I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? I received a call from these people about 2 months after applying for some loans online. They already had all my personal details including address etc. I first spoke to Lloyd Jeffery, and was offered a loan for £2000, all i needed was to make the first month payment of £115 up front, and then my money would be with me in 20 minutes. I was told to pay by western union or ukash, and when I did, I was then told it was fine and I would receive the loan in my bank account within 30 minutes. An hour went by and

Judging by the number and the fact that I know nobody in this location, it has to be a call centre! 0161 or 020 numbers always conjure up call centres in my mind, a pox on them all!

I have been called 12 times since June 9, 2016. They first say The national date base shows you have not had an energy assessment. I HAVE had a recent energy assessment. I do not like these calls and I think they are connected to my phone hacking problems. I get at least two marketing calls a day not all from this number and I think they are linked to a local call center that may be hacking my line. The call center is on the Isle of Bute in Scotland. My second call this morning from an 01257 number - different ones - both claiming to be a banking service who have detected suspicious activity on my account. They are both automated messages with the same female voice and both claim withdrawals from my (unspecified) account from the same places (Amazon and overseas) but quote different amounts. 01257 is my local dial code, which I suspect is meant to lend credibility to the call. SCAM - fake text from Virgin Mobile that says your direct debit has failed. It tells you to go to the URL Https://virginmedia-mobile.co.uk which is clearly a fake mockup of the real site. DO NOT PUT YOUR REAL ACCOUNT INFO IN! If you type literally anything into the login boxes it takes you to a fake page that looks just like Virgin Mobile where it asks for payment. This is a scam - if you inserted your login info, reset your password immediately on the real website.
