I've had calls and texts from this number for days, asking for someone named Robert. I've answered twice. The first time, they hung up after I said I wasn't Robert. The second time, I argued with the man on the phone, who told me I'd have to pay £75 for the calls and texts to stop. He also said I need to "keep thinking" if I carried on with attitude...steer clear.

Claimed to be from Tesco. Asked to confirm postcode and that my age was between 25-65. Didn't confirm anything. When I asked how he had my information he said it was on the Tesco database. Challenged this and told him that I would be pursuing Tesco through the the Information Commissioner as they were in breach of the General Data Protection Regulations.....very quickly hung up on me!! Many have been missed calls and the rest I let ring out. I rang back and they all have had an answering machine with the same female voice putting me in a queue and at no point saying who they are. Whoever they are, they have the ability to have or create many numbers. They get blocked and move onto another number and call back.

Said there is a warrant out for arrest for not paying tax, gave options to rectify by pressing options on the phone call. No numbers were pressed and the call ended. Tax is all payed up and I even had a rebate the other day. This is a SCAM.
